10-keV Electrons Transmission through a Set of Dielectric Macrochannels

The results of the study 10-keV electron beam transmission through cylindrical dielectric macrochannels with various lengths. All channels made polyethylene terephthalate had an identical inner diameter 1.55 mm and lengths 20, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 mm. dependence current passed on their tilt angle relative to incident is measured. fraction suffered energy losses no more than 1 keV after passing channel estimated. maximum transport length also studied. data obtained show that intensity weakly depends in range 20–50 under study. These can be explained by fact such a dynamic charge distribution formed walls, which provides best conditions channel.
